Adding some crunch to your diet may keep your heart healthy: Study

According to a new study published in the Food Nutrition Research journal, eating a handful of nuts and seeds daily may help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. 

Researchers suggested that the composition of fatty acids in nuts is beneficial for aiding overall health. As per the findings, almonds, pistachios and walnuts are said to be the best for lowering cholesterol.

The experts also recommended following a Mediterranean diet for a healthy heart. The diet includes eating a lot of fresh greens, fruits, fish, nuts and olives.
