But, do you know these seeds can be adulterated with toxic argemone seeds that are non-edible. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) recently shared an easy hack to detect adulteration in mustard seeds.
Here’s how to check whether your mustard seeds have been adulterated, take a look!
Take a small number of mustard seeds on a glass plate. Now, closely examine for some grainy rough surface seeds black in colour. The unadulterated mustard seeds will have a smooth outer surface. While, the adulterated mustard seeds having argemone seeds will have a grainy, rough surface and will be black in colour.
