Apple has released the iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2 updates for iPhone and iPad devices. The update adds the App Privacy Report feature, along with the Apple Music Voice Plan, which was announced earlier. Apple has also released the macOS Monterey 12.1, watchOS 8.3, and tvOS 5.2 updates.

iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2

Apple has added the App Privacy Report in iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2. The opt-in feature allows users to see how often apps access permission like location, camera, and microphone. It will also show information about an app’s network and website activity, like what web links have been accessed through the app.

Users can turn on the App Privacy Report by going to Settings, Privacy, and then App Privacy Report.

Other big changes for iPad and iPhone users include the Communication safety setting, which allows parents to enable warnings that appear if their children receive or send photos with nudity. The Digital Legacy feature has also been added, and allows users to select a legacy contact who will be able to access their accounts in case of death.

iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max also get a macro photo control button in the camera app, which lets them switch the macro mode when using the ultra-wide camera.

iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2 also add Hide My Email feature, which will let iCloud+ subscribers create random email addresses, and hide their personal ones.

Users can check for the update by going to Settings, General, and then Software update on their device.

Apple Music Voice Plan

The Apple Music Voice Plan, which was announced in October, is a new subscription tier for Apple Music. It will let subscribers access songs, playlists, and stations in Apple Music through Siri. Apple Music Voice Plan subscribers will not be able to access the service through the app or website, however. Apple Music Voice Plan is available for ₹49 per month in India.

macOS Monterey 12.1 also brings an updated photos app, with a redesigned Memories carousel and a new interactive interface.

Users can check for the update on any eligible Mac by going to System Preferences, and then Software Update.
