Logitech has launched the limited-edition MX Master 4 Developer Edition in India. It is a special version of the company’s flagship productivity mouse, designed for developers, programmers and users who spend most of their day juggling code editors, terminals, AI tools and multiple applications.
The mouse retains the core hardware and productivity features of the regular MX Master 4. The difference is its developer-themed finish, along with an obvious appeal for people who want their desk setup to reflect the work they do.
The MX Master 4 Developer Edition comes in a matte finish with laser-etched references drawn from coding and software development. These include syntax annotations, markup tags, circuit-like patterns and a terminal-style {Hello, World} prompt.
Logitech has also added a few details that developers may appreciate. 0xFF + 1 refers to World Programmers’ Day, 09.17 marks the Linux kernel release date, while !04.01 is a nod to World Backup Day. It is a more expressive take on an otherwise familiar productivity mouse.
The mouse gets customisable haptic feedback, which can be useful while navigating large code repositories or moving between terminal windows. There is also a dedicated Actions Ring button that can be set up for macros, shortcuts and preferred AI coding assistants.
Like the standard model, it features Logitech’s MagSpeed scroll wheel. The company says it can scroll through up to 1,000 lines per second, while also allowing pixel-level precision when you need slower, more controlled movement.
While Logitech has listed the MX Master 4 Developer Edition at ₹20,699, its products are often sold at more considerate prices on e-commerce platforms. Buyers may therefore find it to be better value during regular sales and bank-offer periods.
It is clearly a premium over the standard MX Master 4, despite offering the same core experience. Still, Logitech products regularly become more accessible during e-commerce sales and bank-offer periods. Anyone interested in the special design may want to track prices before buying it at full retail.
