Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed against protests inside the Parliament while addressing the media before beginning of the Winter Session.

He said that in recent days, he spoke to many Members of Parliament, and all of them said that fracas in the House and subsequent adjournment "causes a lot of loss" to them.

PM Modi added, "Young MPs say that lack of functioning of the House damages their wish to learn in this 'university' of democracy."

"This is why functioning of the Parliament is important," Modi concluded.
