Prime Minister Narendra Modi fired off a veiled jibe at the Opposition at the start of the Parliament's Monsoon Session on 18 July.

PM Modi said that the Monsoon Session is linked to the weather, and while rains have reached Delhi, it's still hot in the capital city. He added that it was not certain whether temperature inside the Parliament would also go down.

Referring to the Presidential election, PM Modi said that the current session is important as India will soon get the guidance of new President and Vice President.

With the Monsoon Session being held during the year-long 'Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav' fest, PM Narendra Modi appealed to MPs to remember freedom fighters' dreams while working in Parliament.
