The face-off between the Kejriwal government in Delhi and the Modi government at the Centre is likely to intensify on 26 February 2023 with Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia set to appear before the CBI for questioning.

The Central Bureau of Investigation had initially summoned Sisodia on 19 February, but he sought an extension due to preparation of the Delhi Budget.

The Aam Aadmi Party has said that Sisodia will fully cooperate in the investigation. On 24 February, CM Arvind Kejriwal had claimed that the CBI would arrest Sisodia after questioning.

The case relates to a liquor sale policy which was later scrapped.
