Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's apparent jibe at Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, the Congress hit back.

Congress leader Pawan Khera on 12 March 2023 said that PM Modi does not care about the image of the country when he "insults three generations" by saying that "nothing happened in the last 70 years".

The Congress leader added that the PM does not bother about India's image when he "shows red eyes to the media", and orders raids on foreign media. Khera said that PM Modi "attacks democracy", and this leads to discussions.

He was responding to Modi's comment that recently in London, questions were raised about Indian democracy.
