4 Congress MPs' suspension revoked with 'don't bring placards' clause

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Monday revoked the suspension of Congress MPs Manickam Tagore, Jothimani, Ramya Haridas and TN Prathapan but only after seeking assurances that they will not bring any placards into the House. 

The 4 Congress parliamentarians were suspended last Monday for the entire monsoon session for protesting and showing placards in the well of the House. 

The day saw a flurry of protest and Opposition uproar in Parliamenet over several issues including price rise, Agnipath scheme, alleged ED misuse.

Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha saw disruptions with the former going into adjournment over suspension of 4 Congress MPs while the the latter also seeing suspension of business in the wake of arrest of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut.

At least 27 Opposition MPs have been suspended for alleged unruly behaviour in Parliament,  so far. The Monsoon session of Parliament currently underway will last till August 13
