Days after a video of a politician abusing and manhandling a woman at a residential society in UP's Noida went viral, bulldozers were seen tearing down illegal encroachments by the aggressor.
Shrikant Tyagi was caught on camera misbehaving with a woman who contested illegal encroachment done by him at Grand Omaxe society in Noida's Sector 93B. Tyagi had claimed to be a BJP leader, but the ruling party had denied his claims.

On 8 August, bulldozers entered the housing complex and demolished what appeared to be fibreglass and wood structures made outside the apartment. Noida Police personnel were present for the demolition.
Shrikant Tyagi has been booked, but is evading arrest. On 7 August, a group of people allegedly raised slogans in his support at the society. In response, residents had staged a protest against police for inaction.
