In yet another attack on a minor, an 11 standard girl was stabbed by a 22-year-old man in broad daylight. The incident occurred in Tiruchirappalli district of Tamil Nadu.
The 16-year-old girl was walking home after writing her exams when the man, identified as Kesavan, stabbed her in over ten places, including her neck.
Witnesses to the incident sprung into action and admitted her to a nearby hospital, where she has been under intensive care.
The police say that the accused had tried to marry the minor last year, following which he had been arrested under the POCSO Act. He had been released from prison recently and he did this to exact vengeance.

According to reports the man escaped after the attack and the police are yet to nab him.
