Parliament disruption: to break deadlock, party leader meeting called amid fresh adjournments

For the seventh consecutive working day, the Parliament experienced major disruption.

In order to break the deadlock, the Lok Sabha Speaker called a meeting of leaders of all parties in his chamber at 1 pm. The Rajya Sabha Chairman did the same at 11:30 am.

Earlier, in the Lok Sabha, Opposition MPs raised slogans for a probe into the Adani row. Speaker Om Birla was forced to adjourn the House for 3 hours.

In the Rajya Sabha, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar rejected 11 notices for a discussion on the Adani issue. This led to Opposition protests forcing adjournment for 3 hours.
