UP doctor allegedly leaves towel inside patient's stomach, probe ordered

In a shocking case of medical negligence, a UP doctor allegedly left a towel inside a patient's belly after he operated upon her post labour pains.

The incident reportedly happened in Bans Kheri village of Amroha district. 

The doctor, Matloob, allegedly left the towel in the belly of one Nazrana after conducting her operation at Saifee Nursing Home, which he used to run without permission in the Naugawana Sadat police station area in Amroha, ANI reported quoting Chief Medical Officer. 

The report further said, the lady was readmitted to Matloob's nursing home, after she complaint of severe abdominal pain. Citing cold weather, the doctor kept the woman for 4-5 days in the hospital, with no improvement in the condition.

The detoriating condition of Nazrana, prompted her husband to move her to another hospital where during a scan cause of her pain was revealed. 

As per the ANI report, no FIR has been lodged, however, the CMO has assured of strictest action for negligence.
