Pakistani woman held by Indian Army after she crossed LoC in J&K's Poonch

Amid a spate of terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, a Pakistani woman was arrested in the Union Territory's Poonch district. The Pakistani woman was detained after she crossed the Line of Control (LoC), which is the disputed border.

The incident occurred at night on 15 July. The woman has reportedly been identified as 49-year-old Rozina, a resident of Ferozbanda area in Pakistan's capital city Islamabad.

The Indian Army arrested Rozina after she crossed the LoC at Chakra da Bagh in Poonch. It is not yet clear whether she accidentally crossed the porous border.

This comes days after a major terrorist incident in Jammu and Kashmir's capital Srinagar. On 12 July, terrorists killed a police officer and injured two others in an attack on a naka party in Lal Bazar area of Srinagar. There has also been a spate of attacks on civilians in recent months.
