Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia spent the intervening night of 26 and 27 February 2023 at the CBI headquarters in the national capital. He was arrested after many hours of questioning on 26 February 2023.
On 27 February, Sisodia will reportedly be taken for a medical check-up. Subsequently, he will be presented before a CBI court where the central agency is likely to seek his custody to gather more information about the alleged scam.
The Central Bureau of Investigation is probing allegations of bending of rules, and undue benefits to liquor vendors, while the Enforcement Directorate has claimed money laundering and payment of kickbacks to the Aam Aadmi Party.
