Lashkar terrorists behind murders of Kashmiri Pandit, Nepal citizen killed in Shopian encounter: J&K cops

In another victory for security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, 3 terrorists part of Lashkar-e-Taiba ranks were killed in Shopian district on 20 December 2022.

Two of the dead terrorists were identified as Lateef Lone of Shopian, and Umer Nazir of Anantnag, according to police. While Lateef Lone was allegedly involved in the killing of Kashmiri Pandit P Krishna Bhat, Umer Nazir allegedly had a hand in the murder of T Bahadur Thapa of Nepal.

The encounter occurred after security forces launched a cordon and search operation at Munjh Marg in Zainapora area of Shopian.
