The Income Tax probe on British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) grew wider on 14 February 2023.
After reports emerged of I-T searches at BBC's Delhi office, similar action was reported from BBC offices in India's financial capital Mumbai.
Reports quoting sources said that BBC's balance sheets and account books were being checked over alleged irregularities in international tax and transfer pricing issues.
BBC was recently in the eye of a storm after a documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the 2002 Gujarat riots.
