India supported the two-state solution for the Israel-Palestine conflict at a United Nations Security Council meeting on 20 December 2022.

Ruchira Kamboj, India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, said that there is "no alternative to the two-State solution to guarantee lasting peace between Israel & Palestine".

"Direct negotiation is the only path that can lead us there," she added. Kamboj was speaking at a UNSC briefing on the Middle East.

India expressed concern over the situation in Jerusalem, Gaza, and the West Bank. Delhi said that it has consistently advocated against "all acts of violence".
