In a fresh instance of a terrorist attack on civilians in Jammu and Kashmir, a Hindu man was shot dead in Pulwama on 26 February 2023.
The incident took place at around 11 am when the victim, Sanjay Sharma, was on his way to the local market. The deceased was a 40-year-old member of the minority Kashmiri Pandit community, and resident of the Achan area in the south Kashmir district.
He was rushed to hospital, but could not be saved. Police said that the area was subsequently cordoned off.
