Google on Tuesday paid tribute to iconic Indian actress and dancer Zohra Sehgal with a special doodle. It was this on this day in 1946 that her film Neecha Nagar was released in Cannes. She is thus India's first female actor to truly achieve recognition on the international stage.
Illustrated by artist Parvati Pillai the doodle shows an animated picture of the legendary actress in a classical dance posture with a floral background.
Often called the grand old lady of Bollywood, Sehgal last appeared in Ranbir Kapoor's 'Saawariya' and acted in hit films like 'Cheeni Kum', 'Dil Se' & 'Veer Zaara' among many others in the recent years.
