German radio network Bayern 3's presenter Mattias Matuschik has invoked the BTS Army's wrath worldwide after his tweet with 'racist' comments against the K-pop band went viral.

Calling the band 'similar to a virus like Covid-19', Matuschik’s reacted to BTS’ recent MTV Unplugged program and wrote that they should 'go on a 20-year vacation to North Korea'.

Matthias also slammed BTS for covering 'Fix You' by Coldplay, calling it sacrilege and blasphemy and said that he hopes a vaccine for them would be available soon.

BTS Army globally took to Twitter to demand a public apology from the radio  host.

However, Bayern 3 has issued a response, saying that Matthias was simply playing a character and that he got carried away under the guise of 'exaggerated excitement'.
