The Ashok Gehlot government is mulling a social security scheme for each family that has lost its earning member to coronavirus, news agency PTI reported.

The scheme will also benefit children whose parents have died due to the virus.

Gehlot cabinet also discussed the possibility of extending the lockdown by 15 days, which is currently in force till May 24.

Though the number of positive cases have dipped in Rajasthan, the infection and death rate are still high.
