A report from the Wall Street Journal claims that Apple is working on mental health tracking for a future iPhone model. The phone would be able to detect depression, anxiety, and cognitive decline.

Apple has begun two projects, named ‘Seabreeze’ and ‘Pi’, to partner with universities and pharmaceutical companies for mental health tracking capabilities.

The feature will reportedly combine inputs from iPhone and Apple Watch, considering things like walking patterns, facial expressions, and typing speed, to come to a conclusion.

The report says this research is still in the early stages, so it is unknown when these features will make it to a commercially available iPhone model.
