Heavy to very heavy rains have been lashing parts of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Some areas in Uttar Pradesh, bordering Madhya Pradesh have also seen some heavy showers.

40 villages in Rajasthan face flood threat due to heavy rain. Torrential rains in Rajasthan have created flood-like conditions in several districts, including Kota. Several parts of the city remain heavily inundated, rendering people unable to leave their residences.
Rescue operations are being carried out by the district administration in waterlogged areas, with people being evacuated. Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday said 13 villages of Morena are affected by floods in Chambal and Kwari rivers.
According to reports, more than 250 people rescued and rescue operations are on for 200 persons. So far, 1100 people evacuated from 36 affected villages of Datia & operation is on for 45 persons
The Gwalior-Chambal region in Madhya Pradesh has been reeling under floods following heavy rainfall on Tuesday, which led to as many as 1,171 villages being affected in the inundation.
