Actor-producer Farhan Akhtar has announced that the release date of his upcoming sports drama 'Toofan' has been postponed due to the surge in the Covid-19 cases in India.
Confirming the news, Farhan issued a statement on his social media & said the situation in India is truly heart-breaking, and in light of the severity of the crisis, their focus is completely on the pandemic and helping the community.
He added they will release the film once the situation gets better in India.
Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the sports drama was supposed to stream on Amazon Prime Video from May 21, 2021.
