The reports of Chinaayi Vikram being hospitalised in Chennai after suffering a heart attack made headlines on Friday. However, his son Dhruv Vikram took to social media to give an update on the actor's health and rubbished the reports suggesting heart attack. In his Instagram stories, he wrote, 'Dear fans and well-wishers, Appa had mild chest discomfort and is being treated for the same. He DID NOT have a heart attack as reports falsely claim. We are pained to hear rumors to this effect. That being said, we request you to give him and our family the privacy we need at this time. Chiyaan is fine now. He is likely to be discharged from the hospital in a day. We hope this statement provides clarity and trust that the false rumors will be put to rest’.
Vikram has been admitted at Kauvery hospital and he'll be discharged soon.
On the film front, Vikram will be soon seen in ‘Ponniyin Selvan Part 1’ alongwith Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The film also stars Karthi, Trisha and Jayam Ravi in important roles. The film is being directed by Mani Ratnam and its music has been composed by AR Rahman.
