Rajinikanth reviews political thriller ‘Maamannan’, felicitates director Mari Selvaraj

Mari Selvaraj’s political thriller ‘Maamannan’, which was released in theatres on June 29, is garnering praise from the audience as well as the critics.

Now, superstar Rajinikanth has reviewed the movie on Twitter and heaped praise on the cast and director.

Rajinikanth tweeted, ‘A wonderful work by Mari Selvaraj emphasising equality. My sincere appreciation to him. My congratulations to Vadivelu, Udhayanidhi and Fahadh Faasil for their excellent performances.’

‘Maamannan’ is the director’s third venture, after the highly acclaimed ‘Pariyerum Perumal’ (2018) and ‘Karnan’ (2021).

Rajinikanth also invited director Mari Selvaraj to his residence and presented him with a bouquet.

The duo engaged in a detailed discussion about the film during the meeting.

Expressing gratitude to Rajinikanth for his kind gesture, Mari shared pictures from their meeting on Twitter and wrote, ‘I express my gratitude and happiness from the bottom of my heart to our superstar @rajinikanth sir, who welcomed my third film, Mamannan, with great love and appreciation, just as he appreciated my first two films, Pariyerum, Perumal and Karna’
Tamil actor Dhanush too has praised the film.

‘A big hug to you Mari. Vadivelu sir and @Udhaystalin have delivered a very convincing performance. Great work from Fahadh and @KeerthyOfficial. Theatres are gonna erupt for the interval block. finally @arrahman sir BEAUTIFUL,’ he wrote on Twitter.
