South actor Dhanush and his wife Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth have separated after 18 years of marriage. The couple took to social media to announce their separation on Monday night.
Dhanush wrote, "18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate."
Meanwhile, Aishwarya also shared a similar post and wrote, “No caption needed. Only your understanding and love necessary”.
Reputed filmmaker and producer Kasthuri Raja’s son Dhanush, and megastar Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwaryaa dated only for six months before getting married in November 2004 when Dhanush was just 21.
They are parents to two boys, Yatra and Linga.
