Global star Priyanka Chopra has been touring Australia during her downtime from filming her next Hollywood movie ‘The Bluff’. The actor recently visited Paradise Country on the Gold Coast and discovered a baby koala named after her.
Priyanka took to her Instagram to share a series of pictures and videos. In the first video, she's with friends as they are introduced to an 8-month-old baby koala. An official reveals that the koala's name is Priyanka, inspired by the actor. Priyanka responds, 'Are you serious?’, thanks the official, and poses with the koala for a picture. She also shared the picture, pointing at the koala named after her.
She also added a little note to the video that read, 'A 8 month old koala joey named after me!! So sweet.. thank you @paradisecountrygc for the lovely surprise and for introducing us to the most amazing wildlife. Meerkats, koalas, kangaroos, Tasmanian devils and Dingo’s! Priyanka wore a dark grey t-shirt, light grey slacks, and a grey jacket, completing the look with a black cap, her hair tied back, and dark sunglasses. She also shared a video of a meerkat standing on her head as she laughed and posed. In another video, she pointed and laughed at a meerkat standing on her friend's head. Additionally, she shared pictures and videos featuring a kangaroo, a Tasmanian devil, and a dingo.
On the work front, Priyanka Chopra has some exciting projects ahead. She is set to star in Heads of State alongside John Cena and Idris Elba. Additionally, she will appear in The Bluff, directed by Frank E. Flowers and featuring Karl Urban.
'The Bluff' is set in the 19th-century Caribbean and follows Priyanka's character, a former female pirate, who must protect her family as the sins of her past resurface. The film is produced by Russo Brothers' AGBO Studios and Amazon MGM Studios.
