After lighting up the sky with their singing prowess, BLACKPINK members are now exploring their acting talents. According to a Variety report, the South Korean girl group's lead rapper and dancer, Lisa, is all set to make her Hollywood debut with HBO's critically acclaimed series, 'The White Lotus' Season 3. Earlier, BLACKPINK's Jennie had stepped into acting with Sam Levinson's 'The Idol'.
BLACKPINK member Lisa has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the third season of 'The White Lotus'. The details of the K-pop superstar's role have been kept under wraps. For her role, the 'LALISA' hitmaker will be credited under her given name, Lalisa Manobal.
'The White Lotus' Season 3 also stars Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Tayme Thapthimthong, Christian Friedel, Julian Kostov, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Carrie Coon, Scott Glenn, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Natasha Rothwell, Walton Goggins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Aimee Lou Wood, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola.
This time, the guests of the luxurious hotel will be landing in Asia. Earlier, HBO announced that the upcoming season will feature a new set of guests at a White Lotus resort property in Thailand. The shooting will begin this month in Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok.
All four BLACKPINK members—Lisa, Jennie, Rose, and Jisoo—decided to part ways with their agency, YG Entertainment, last year for their individual activities. While Jennie launched her own label, OA, Lisa will reportedly be signing with an international studio. Jisoo, meanwhile, has forayed into acting. After her critically acclaimed debut with 'Snowdrop' opposite Jung Hae-in, the 'Flower' singer will now feature in the zombie series 'Influenza' and the film 'Omniscient Reader'. Rose, on the other hand, has yet to announce her plans.
