BLACKPINK recently renewed its contract with their agency, 'YG Entertainment'. However, all four members, Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose, decided to go separate ways for their solo careers. After the announcement, it was revealed that Jisoo would now focus on her acting career. With the announcement of her new film, 'Omniscient Reader', fans now cannot wait to watch the K-pop idol on the big screen.
'Omniscient Reader' is based on a webtoon of the same name. The story follows Ahn Hyo-seop's Kim Dok-Ja, whose life unexpectedly changes when the book he's reading becomes his reality. Since he knows how the story concludes, he strives to change the course of unwanted events with the help of the book's protagonist, Yoo Jung-hyuk (Lee Min-ho). In a world where fiction becomes reality, they set out on a quest together to rewrite their own destinies. In the fantasy world, Jisoo plays the role of Lee Ji-hye, Yoo’s coworker. The film also stars Chae Soo-bin.
