Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is making his debut as a superhero and ‘the hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about change.’ The first trailer of his forthcoming film ‘Black Adam’ has finally been unveiled and DC fans are thrilled.
Johnson is introduced as Teth-Adam who is killed by his enslavers but he returns to life by a mystical bolt of lightning apparently summoned by his son. The young man dies soon after due to the strain of the ritual. Black Adam is now in search of justice using his newfound powers.
The trailer also introduces Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone.
Johnson took to social media to share the trailer with his fans and wrote, ‘The world needed a hero. It got BLACK ADAM.’
The Jaume Collet Serra directorial will release in theaters on October 21, 2022.
