West Bengal government gives gun salute to eminent singer KK | On camera

The West Bengal government has given a gun salute to popular singer KK a day after his sudden demise. The proceedings were supervised by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. KK's body was kept at Rabindra Sadan where fans paid tribute to the singer.

His family will be taking his mortal remains to Mumbai today.

KK died shortly after performing at a concert in Kolkata's Nazrul Manch auditorium. He was rushed to CMRI hospital where he was declared dead upon arrival. The singer reportedly suffered a heart attack and died on the way to the hospital.

KK, who gained stardom in the late 1990s, was best known for hit songs, like 'Pyaar ke pal' and 'Yaaron'.
