This 'Heeramandi' actor turned down Salman Khan's marriage proposal, know what she said

The most wanted munda and the country's most eligible bachelor Salman Khan often gets questioned about his marriage plans. And now ETimes reports that Heeramandi actor Sharmin Segal, niece of Sanjay Leela Bhansali once had turned down Salman's marriage proposal.

Sharmin explains what exactly happened. She said in an interview that back in the day on the sets of 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' when she was just 2 or 3 years old, Salman had jokingly asked her to marry him, to which she quickly responded "NO"! Although Sharmin shared that she is still a huge fan of Salman Khan.

About 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’

The highly anticipated period drama series, marking filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's grand entry into the streaming world. Starring Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Sanjeeda Shaikh, it has garnered significant attention.

Taking place in pre-Independence India, the high-budget series, is released on May 1, and centres on the stories of courtesans residing in Lahore's red-light district, Heeramandi.

Discussing the show's theme, Bhansali previously expressed, "It portrays love, power, freedom, and the remarkable journeys of women, their aspirations, and challenges. It signifies a significant step forward in my career. With Netflix, we have discovered the perfect collaborator — someone who not only resonates with our passion for storytelling but also possesses the unmatched ability to present our series to an incredibly diverse and international audience."
