The trailer of ‘Salaam Venky’, starring Kajol, Vishal Jethwa and Rahul Bose among others, has been unveiled.
It introduces Kajol as Sujata who looks after her terminally ill son Venky, who is confined to a wheelchair. She refers to a dialogue from the iconic movie ‘Anand’ and promises her son’s life larger and not longer. Venky’s health is deteriorating quickly, and yet he is ready to fight for every moment of joy, just like his mother. Aamir Khan features towards the end of the trailer.
The film's official synopsis reads, ‘Witness the story of Sujata and her son Venky, as they navigate through the most challenging situations one can ever face with a smile and teach us the true meaning of living BiG. Based on a true story of a life well lived.’
‘Salaam Venky’ is co-produced by Blive Productions and RTake Studios and directed by Revathy. The film was initially titled ‘The Last Hurrah’. It is scheduled to release in theatres on December 9, 2022.
Besides ‘Salaam Venky’, Kajol will soon be making her web series debut in the Hindi adaptation of ‘The Good Wife’ on Disney+ Hotstar.
