Rishi Kapoor's last film 'Sharmaji Namkeen' to release on Amazon Prime Video on March 31

To honour the late Rishi Kapoor's legacy, Amazon Prime Video today announced the exclusive world premiere of his last film, 'Sharmaji Namkeen.'

This family entertainer has been directed by Hitesh Bhatia and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment in association with Honey Trehan and Abhishek Chaubey of MacGuffin Pictures.

Besides the late Rishi Kapoor, the film stars Paresh Rawal, Juhi Chawla, Suhail Nayyar, Taaruk Raina, Satish Kaushik, Sheeba Chaddha, and Isha Talwar.

'Sharmaji Namkeen' is the first Hindi film in which two superlative actors- Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal have come together to play one character.

'Sharmaji Namkeen,' is reportedly an extremely relatable and heart-warming story of self-realization and discovery. It follows the life of a recently retired man who discovers his passion for cooking after joining a riotous women's kitty circle. The movie will release on Prime Video across 240 countries and territories worldwide on March 31 this year.

Farhan Akhtar also took to the social media and shared the film's posters and release date details.
