As the nation is mourning the demise of popular singer KK, a report in Times of India has shared the details of his autopsy examination.

The police sources told Times of India that a fatty layer was found around KK's heart in the examination and the valves were found stiff.
Multiple medicines were found in KK's body, including antacids, syrups that give relief in case of acidity, heartburn and gas, and Vitamin C, the police sources informed Times of India.

'It was learnt that KK frequently used to pop in antacid pills. On the morning of May 31, he told his manager that he was low on energy. On that night, hours before his death, he had told his wife that his shoulder and arms were paining,' said the police source.

The Times of India report mentions that KK's postmortem and viscera reports will further be sent for histopathological tests, a study of tissues that can reveal blockages.

Krishnakumar Kunnath died after performing at a concert in Kolkata on May 31. His last rites were held at Versova Hindu Cemetery in Mumbai on June 2.
