Netizens react to Poonam Pandey's awareness stunt

Poonam Pandey's death news on Friday shocked the internet, with many wondering at the outset if the post was a hoax. Poonam's manager had also confirmed the news. Now, Poonam's 'I'm alive' post has ignited an outrage among netizens who are now bashing the 'Nasha' actor.  Many took to social media to condemn Poonam's latest post, criticisng her 'distasteful' post.

"How shameless can someone be to stay in the limelight? They do stupid stuff, and some illogical fanbases were in a coma and were posting sad stuff and begging audiences to respect the death. Ponam Pandey is alive and a public stunt with great cause," one netizen wrote.

Another added, "I always knew it, so I didn't react at all. As far as I know, #PoonamPandey, Rakhi Sawant, etc. are kind of awful social media influencers who can do anything for publicity; they are that debauched. For Poonam to fake her death is so sickening, and we should be worried that our youngsters and kids see this rubbish. What she needs is not treatment for cervical cancer but mental care."

A netizen commented, "CHEAP PUBLICITY STUNT? Model #PoonamPandey is alive. She claimed she raised awareness using her 'death. "Ab to isko sach mein kuch hua toh kon hi condolences dega?"

Poonam Pandey's 'I'm alive' post

Poonam Pandey chose a different approach to raise awareness about cervical cancer.  She said 'I'm here, alive' after reports of her death from cervical cancer. Taking to Instagram on February 3, the 'Nasha' actor wrote, "I feel compelled to share something significant with you all - I am here, alive. Cervical Cancer didn’t claim me, but tragically, it has claimed the lives of thousands of women who stemmed from a lack of knowledge on how to tackle this disease. Unlike some other cancers, Cervical Cancer is entirely preventable. The key lies in the HPV vaccine and early detection tests. We have the means to ensure no one loses their life to this disease. Let’s empower one another with critical awareness and ensure every woman is informed about the steps to take. Visit the link in the bio to delve deeper into what can be done. Together, let’s strive to put an end to the devastating impact of the disease and bring #DeathToCervicalCancer (sic)."
