‘Pathaan’: Aamir Khan’s sister Nikhat makes cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s film

‘Pathaan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, released worldwide on January 25 and it has been receiving a positive response from fans as well as critics. Salman Khan’s cameo in the film is also being praised by all. There is one more special appearance in the film that has come as a surprise to fans.

Actor Aamir Khan also has a connection with the SRK starrer. His sister, Nikhat Khan Hegde, appears in a cameo and shares the screen with King Khan.

Taking to Instagram stories, Nikhat acknowledged fans and relatives who singled out her performance in the film, by sharing their reactions.

Aamir has two sisters, Nikhat and Farhat, and one brother, Faisal.

In the spy thriller, Nikhat plays the Afghan woman who gives Pathaan his name after he saves their village. She also appears towards the end of the film, as a part of Pathaan’s ‘family’.

For the unversed, Nikhat has been a producer on films like ‘Tum Mere Ho’ (1990), ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’ (1993), ‘Madhosh’ (1994), and ‘Lagaan’ (2001). She has also acted in the films like ‘Mission Mangal’ (2019), ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ (2019) and ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ (2020). Nikhat was also part of web series, ‘Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story’, ‘Guilty Minds’ and ‘Hush Hush’.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘Pathaan’ earned ₹57 crore on opening day, January 25, and is expected to bring record numbers going into this extended holiday weekend.
