'Maja Ma' trailer out: Madhuri Dixit plays the 'perfect mother' in the family drama, receives fans' love

The trailer of Madhuri Dixit starrer ‘Maja Ma’ was released on Thursday. It gives us a glimpse into the life of Madhuri’s character Pallavi Patel, who is dance teacher belonging to a middle-class family. The clip opens with son, played Ritwik Bhowmik, introducing his family and describing his mother as ‘perfect’. He falls in love with an NRI girl, played by Barkha Singh. Her rich parents agree to their match but only after much drama.

On the eve of the couple’s engagement, a rumour about Pallavi tries to break her life apart and also puts her son’s forthcoming engagement in jeopardy.

The film also stars Gajraj Rao, Srishti Shrivastava, Rajit Kapur, Simone Singh, Sheeba Chaddha, Malhar Thakar and Ninad Kamat in the pivotal roles.  

After watching the trailer, fans are all love for Madhuri, who is making a comeback to the big screen after 2019 film ‘Kalank’.

Talking about her character Madhuri had earlier said, ‘I am thrilled to be a part of Prime Video’s first Indian Amazon Original Movie. With Maja Ma, what I am most excited about is my character. It is a role with complex nuances that I have never played before.’  

‘Maja Ma’ is slated to release on October 6 this year.
