Cricketers Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul and filmmaker Karan Johar have been granted relief in a case that was registered against the trio over comments against women on ‘Koffee With Karan’ season six. According to a report in ETimes, Jodhpur High Court disposed of the case against them, after they were found ‘innocent’. The case was lodged by Dr Meghwal at Jodhpur’s Luni police station under the Indian Penal Code section.

Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul featured on ‘Koffee With Karan’ in 2018 and stirred controversy after they made some offensive comments about women. Following this, the cricketers were suspended by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from the ODI series in Australia.

Hardik Pandya issued an apology following the incident. He took to Twitter and admitted that he ‘got a bit carried away with the nature of the show’ and he meant no disrespect to anyone.

‘After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone’s sentiments. Respect,’ Pandya wrote on Twitter in 2019.

Karan Johar returned with the seventh season of ‘Koffee With Karan’ in July. The celebrities who graced the couch so far are Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Akshay Kumar, Vijay Deverakonda, and Ananya Panday. ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ actors Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are the next guests on the show.
