According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Kareena Kapoor Khan has tested negative for the new variant of coronavirus. During the Omicron scare, a sample of her test was sent for genome sequencing.
'Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan's genome sequencing report for Omicron is negative: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation,' ANI tweeted on Friday.
Bollywood celebrities' samples, including Seema Khan, Maheep Kapoor and Amrita Arora, were also sent for testing. After attending a party at filmmaker Karan Johar's home, they all tested positive for coronavirus.
In a social media post, Kareena Kapoor announced her diagnosis. I have tested positive for Covid. I immediately isolated myself while following all medical protocols. I request anyone who has come in contact with me to please get tested. My family and staff are also double vaccinated. They are currently not showing any symptoms. Thankfully. I am feeling ok and hope to be up and about soon,' she wrote.
Since then, the actor has given various updates from her quarantine. She shared a photo of her husband, Saif Ali Khan, sipping a hot beverage on a nearby building's terrace. She was also upset that she wouldn't be able to spend time with her two sons, Taimur and Jehangir.
