Filmmaker Karan Johar is gearing up to launch Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, into Bollywood.

On Wednesday, Johar took to Instagram to express his excitement, recalling his long-standing bond with Ibrahim’s parents and his deep connection with the Khan family.

Johar shared fond memories of meeting both Saif and Amrita, emphasizing how their warmth and charm have left a lasting impact on him.

"I met Amrita or Dingy, as the loved ones call her, when I was just 12 years old. She did a film for my father, Yash Johar, called Duniya in 1984, and I remember the energy and grace she had. But what I remember the most is the warmest Chinese dinner with her after our first meeting," Karan reminisced.

He also shared how he met Saif for the first time and noted how Saif's charm reminded him of Ibrahim’s suave and charismatic personality.

"Films are in their blood, their genes and their passion," Johar added, expressing his admiration for the family's contribution to the entertainment industry.

This marks a new chapter in Karan Johar’s collaboration with the Khan family, one that spans four decades. He also worked with Ibrahim’s sister, actress Sara Ali Khan, as a producer for Simmba.

Sara joined in celebrating her brother's debut by sharing Karan's announcement on her Instagram stories, writing, "@iakpataudi welcome to the movies."

Karan Johar had teased the launch of new talent just the day before, posting a social media reel that hinted at new and exciting stories being brought to life by his production house, Dharma Productions.

Ibrahim, who has already worked as an assistant director on Karan’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani—starring Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, and other iconic actors—will now take his step into Bollywood's spotlight.
