Kriti Sanon is on cloud nine after bagging her first Best Actress Award at the 22nd edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards. The actor was honoured for her performance in the 2021 film ‘Mimi,’ co-starring Pankaj Tripathi.
Kriti Sanon shared a picture of her with the trophy on social media and mentioned that it took her eight years to win her first Best Actress award. ‘Dreams do come true. All you need to do is keep working hard towards it and never lose faith,’ she wrote.
She further added that ‘Mimi’ is a film that she’ll forever treasure and the character will always be special in her filmography. Kriti wrote that she is grateful to the whole cast and crew of ‘Mimi’ for making this journey so memorable. She also thanked IIFA in her post for the validation and an amazing evening.
The comedy drama ‘Mimi’ has been directed by Laxman Utekar. The film narrates the story of a young woman who opts to be a surrogate for a foreign couple.
