Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar will soon tie the knot on February 21. Farhan's father, Javed Akhtar, confirmed the news. Reportedly, the couple will have a court marriage.
Speaking to Bombay Times, Akhtar confirmed, "Yes, the wedding is taking place. Rest, shaadi ki jo taiyyariyan hain (the rest of the preparations for the wedding) that is being taken care of by the wedding planners."
However, the couple is not planning for a large-scale wedding due to pandemic." Taking the situation into consideration it is obvious that we cannot host anything on a large scale. So, we are only calling a few people. It will be a very simple affair. Khair abhi tak toh invitations bhi nahi bheje gaye hai (We are yet to send out the invitations)," he added. Javed also called Shibani a nice girl and revealed that the entire family liked her.
Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar have been dating since 2018 and often share photos on social media. Farhan was last seen in 'Toofan'. He will soon return to direction with Jee Le Zaraa, which stars Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt in pivotal roles.
