Actor Poonam Pandey has reportedly passed away due to cervical cancer. She was 32. A while back, the official Instagram account of Pandey shared the unfortunate news, which has now sent shockwaves among internet users.
Poonam Panday died due to cervical cancer at the age of 32 on February 2. Her team has now shared a statement on her official Instagram account.
"This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request for privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared (sic),” the statement read.
Poonam Pandey made her debut with the Bollywood film, 'Nasha', in 2013.
In a bid to prevent the occurrence of cervical cancer, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday said the government will bring down the price of the HPV vaccine to encourage vaccination for girls aged 9 to 14 to prevent cervical cancer. The Finance Minister also announced the government's plan to establish more medical colleges in the country.
