Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan is all set to make his Bollywood debut with ‘Double XL’, starring Huma Qureshi and Sonakshi Sinha. A new still from the forthcoming film has been shared by Huma, which shows her dressed in a red gown, dancing with Shikhar. Sharing the still, the actor wrote, ‘Cat is out of the bag …. Speaking with Pinkvilla, Shikhar talked about his role and said, ‘As an athlete playing for the nation, life is always very hectic. One of my favourite pastimes is to watch good entertaining films. When this opportunity came to me and I heard the story, it made a deep impact on me. This is a lovely message for the whole society and I hope a lot of young girls and boys will keep pursuing their dreams no matter what.’
‘Double XL’, directed by Satramm Ramani, narrates the story of two plus-size women — sports presenter Rajshree Trivedi, played by Huma Qureshi, and fashion designer Saira Khanna, played by Sonakshi Sinha. The duo is trying to navigate society’s beauty standards in this comedy drama. The film will be released on Netflix on November 4.
