The teaser of Alia Bhatt's maiden production venture 'Darlings' has finally been released. The short clip opens with the actor narrating a gripping tale of a frog and a scorpion. It highlights a few romantic moments between Alia and Vijay and goes on to show how their dislike for each other grows post-marriage and ultimately leads to tragic events. The dark comedy also shows how the mother-daughter duo (Alia-Shefali) are fighting against all odds to survive in Mumbai.
Alia Bhatt shared the teaser on social media and wrote that 'It’s just a tease Darlings.' The post has left everyone intrigued and celebrities like Zoya Akhtar, Rakul Preet Singh and Sophie Choudry have penned their thoughts in the comment section. The film also stars Roshan Matthew in a pivotal role.
'Darlings' has been co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. The film, directed by Jasmeet K Reen, will release on Netflix on August 5.
