Kartik Aaryan is all pumped up for the release of his upcoming film, 'Chandu Champion', arriving in theatres on June 14, 2024. Ahead of the big release, the makers organised a screening of the film, which was attended by the 'real champion' Murlikant Petkar and his family. Taking to Instagram, Kartik Aaryan shared an emotional video from the film's premiere.
In the video, Kartik can be seen sitting alongside the legendary Murlikant Petkar, a paralympic gold medalist, and his family. As the end credits roll on the screen, Murlikant Petkar's son, Arjun Petkar, was seen getting teary-eyed, and immediately rushed to hug director Kabir Khan and Kartik. Sharing the precious video, Kartik captioned, “First screening of Chandu Champion with the Man himself An evening filled with honour, joy and tears with THE REAL CHAMPION The Man who refused to surrender MR MURLIKANT PETKAR.”
'Chandu Champion' narrates the inspiring story of Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar. With Kartik Aaryan in the lead role, the film aims to shed light on the swimmer's remarkable journey and achievements. The film has been backed by Sajid Nadiadwala.
