Abhishek Bachchan turned 49, and to mark the occasion, his father, Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, shared a heartfelt throwback moment from the day his son was born.

Posting a rare black-and-white picture on his blog, Amitabh offered a glimpse into the hospital scene where he stood near an infant incubator, surrounded by nurses, gazing affectionately at his newborn son.

Along with the picture, Amitabh wrote, "And tonight shall be a latish night… Abhishek turns 49… and his new year shall be brought in… Feb 5, 1976… Time has passed rapidly… !!!!"

Reflecting on time and the nature of public discourse, he added, "At times there is a desire to foment the mind and express the thoughts with what needs to be said… an urge… But with the universal information bureau spread across every corner of the hemisphere, the arousal of many tributaries, not necessarily compassionate with the text, gets mutilated… So…"

As Abhishek celebrated his special day, several industry friends and colleagues extended their wishes.

Actor Ajay Devgn shared a candid moment with Abhishek on Instagram Stories, adding a humorous caption: "Always making my chest like a blouse"… hahaha. Happy birthday @bachchan," followed by a red heart emoji.

The duo has collaborated on multiple films, including Bol Bachchan, LOC: Kargil, Yuva, and Zameen, with their on-screen and off-screen bond being widely appreciated by fans.

Sonam Kapoor also sent her wishes by sharing a still from their popular song Masakali from Delhi-6, captioning it, "Happy birthday, Abhishek."

Sonali Bendre joined in, writing, "Happy Birthday, AB! Sending lots of love and best wishes your way @bachchan."

Kajol, meanwhile, posted a picture of Abhishek, adding, "Here's to an amazing day and even better year ahead, Abhishek! Happy Birthday."

On the work front, Abhishek was last seen in I Want to Talk, directed by Shoojit Sircar. The film, released on November 22, features him in the lead role alongside Ahilya Bamroo, Jayant Kriplani, Johny Lever, Pearle Dey, and Kristin Goddard.

Produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar under the Rising Sun Films banner, the movie is now streaming on Prime Video.

If reports are to be believed, Abhishek is set to star in his next project, King, alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
